Samuel S. Raup Samuel S. Raup was born November 29, 1923 in Sunbury, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. He was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Fine Arts, and a member emeritus of the Philadelphia American Institute of Architects. Sam entered WW II as a member of the 10th Mountain Division, serving in the mountains of Italy. He attained the rank of Tech 5 and was awarded the Bronze Star. After the war, he continued to be an active member in reunion ski events. He enjoyed travel, art, history and music, especially jazz. He married Edith Foltz in 1947; two daughters, Gretchen Timmons, and Laurie Sabol. The family lived on Delaware Ave in Delanco. Sam died Saturday, November 19, 2005 at age 81 at the Masonic Village Medical Center, Elizabethtown PA. He is buried in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Lebanon County, PA. Samuel was listed on the original Delanco WW II Honor Roll. US Army, TEC 5 10th Mountain Div WWII, Italy 1923 - 2005
